Many of the essential medical equipment, systems and software at your hospital are reaching the end of their life expectancy. Therefore, they must be replaced or upgraded in departments such as Radiology, Obstetrics, the Laboratory and the Operating Room.

In order to continue to deliver high standards of medical care, the “Care Close to Home” campaign needs to raise $6.5 million dollars to fund these necessary improvements. The Temiskaming Hospital Foundation is planning for a healthy future.

Ontario hospitals are funded by the Ministry of Health & Long-Term Care for approximately 85% of their operating budget. Items such as beds, diagnostic or surgical equipment and facility upgrades are NOT funded by the ministry.

The Temiskaming Hospital is your local health care hub providing regional services like Obstetrics, Level 1B Nursery, Telemedicine, and the majority of general surgery to approximately 33,000 people. We need your support to keep quality care close to home.
