As an organization who relies solely on donations to fund the purchase of essential hospital equipment, Temiskaming Hospital Foundation understands the importance of every donation-big or small.
Our latest initiative entitled #FiveDollarFridays allows us to celebrate donations of all sizes. While you're probably familiar with major donations, have you heard about micro-donations? Micro-donations are donations between $0.25-$10, and they are taking the world of giving by storm.
Most people don't think twice about donating such a small amount of money, but as they add up, micro-donations can make a true difference.
Meet our first #FiveDollarFridays donor, Jonathan Langford.
"I've made donations to organizations in the past, and the idea that $5 can go a long way is such a cool concept," said Langford. He continued, "Not everyone is in the position to make a big donation, but I think it's important we realize that every dollar counts."
Dollar by dollar and piece by piece, we will continue to raise funds to purchase a brand new, state-of-the-art Gastroscope-a critical piece of life-saving equipment for Temiskaming Hospital.
If you'd like to make a donation of your own, you can drop by the Foundation Office located in Temiskaming Hospital next to the gift shop. We are open Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8:00 am-4:00 pm. You can also mail cash or a cheque to the Temiskaming Hospital Foundation at 421 Shepherdson Road in New Liskeard or make a donation through our safe and secure website.
"Little by little, a little becomes a lot."
